I shared the research design of the virtual nurse project with the Chief Nurse Officer from a U.S.-based healthcare group on February 12, 2026.
I shared the virtual nurse project journey, which involved understanding data structures, identifying relevant data elements, and performing causality analysis, with a U.S.-leading virtual care platform on October 30, 2025.
I shared the VN project at the Virtual Health System Round Table, which brought together 12 health systems (in and outside North Carolina) with attendees ranging from leaders of innovation centers to C-suite executives, on June 20, 2025.

Provost Listening Tour: In April 2026, I shared my PHD experience, teaching, and job placement with UNC Provost Magnus Egerstedt during the Provost Listening Tour at the UNC Business School.
Donors & Scholars Dinner: In February 2026, as the recipient of the Latané Outstanding Teaching Award, I spoke about my PHD experience at the UNC Business School Donors & Scholars Dinner.
PHD Student Ambassador: In November 2025, representing the PHD students at the UNC Business School, I served as PHD student ambassador for the UNC Business School’s Bell Hall Grand Opening Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony. News
First time on film: In September 2025, representing the PHD students at UNC Business School, I attended the filming for the opening ceremony of UNC Business School’s new building. It was fun and a new experience!

In May 2026, I received the M. Wayne Delozier Fellowship Award at the UNC Henry and Felicité Latané PhD Student Banquet.
According to our PhD Program Coordinator Ali Parlaktürk, “Blair won the Wayne Delozier Fellowship Award for her outstanding contributions to the PhD Program, the school, and the university at large.”
I am very thankful to our Operations area faculty, staff, and PhD students, as well as so many others who guided me throughout this PhD journey.
In May 2025, I received my first teaching award, UNC Business School Latané Outstanding Student Teaching Award.
According to our PhD Program Coordinator Ali Parlaktürk, “This is a well-deserved honor–Blair did a fabulous job teaching BUSI 403, also served as teaching assistant for several key courses. I reached out to the instructors of those courses, and all enthusiastically supported her nomination.”
I’m so grateful for our Operations Area, all the faculties, lecturers, and prior PhD students for coaching me on teaching.
